Simon Tessier (Pixel Gasoline) updates. Remember him from the 35-sexiest websites pt. 1? yep, that's almost two years ago now :)

New Ezra. Big update at Jonathan Moore's portfolio.

Video: What a horrible time to be blind, indeed! Wait until he gets to the bit about the flickr compilations.

I Chat, therefore I Am. Is profound the right word?

The Portfolio is fresh.

Video: Bad Mixtaping leads to cruel and unusual punishment. Really made me laugh.

Pearls Before Breakfast

I'm living in the worst place on earth, apparently. The video in question. Man, we've got some wicked good P.R. here in Windsor.

How the world really shapes up

Seriously, the guy must've been waiting his whole life for this.

I've got this baseball, and it's autographed by the 1992 Toronto Blue Jays' World Championship team.

Well, it's fake-autographed. It's one of those baseballs that come in the collectors sets that are really just for display, not so much for practical use or for trade value.

I don't even really like the blue jays, besides. I'm a Detroit Tigers fan, at one time a decent rivalry but not since the sub-divisions of the American League. The fake-autographed names are only semirecognizable. I can see David Cone, Joe Carter, Dave Stieb. Really, that's about it, though.

I guess the point is: I've got this baseball.

And, I throw it up in the air and I catch it when it comes back down again. I repeat this process for the better part of most evenings.

I miss quite a lot, too. The loud thud it makes when the ball hits the hardwood floor is enough to startle Max, who has gone nearly deaf.

There isn't a stress-ball or a cigarette or a glass of wine that could do for me what throwing a 15-year-old baseball around overhead in my bedroom does for me.

So, when I leave for Phoenix next week, I'm bringing it with me. Damned are the clothes I'll leave behind to make room, they aren't worth it anyway.

my dog and my favourite baseball

I sold my car today.

Got a lot less for it than what I paid for it, but that's to be expected. Years have passed since then.

I bought my car from a young man in East Windsor (Walkerville, really) named Osama. Said so on the title and the vehicle registration.

He went by the name Mike. Said so on his business card.

Mike worked as a salesman at a floor and tile company, and was going to be taking the bus to work when he sold me his car. I didn't end up taking very good care of it, but it was a very nice car for me. Leather interior and got some decent acceleration.

---

for lack of a proper ending to this blogpost, I've reclined in my chair and thrown my baseball up in the air from hand to hand, trying to formulate something decent.

I suppose this'll have to do, then.

Thanks for the comments: Snow, Danielle Nantais, Jehiah, Michael.

The people demand car pictures!

Also... I should try and fix my server today. If it's not raining later.

That car was a winner. Even if I only rode with you in it once, it still had a manual driver's side window, and you did confuse a Taco Bell employee as to what "delicious deserts" are in it.

Happy unofficial three hundredth post, as well.

that photo is classic. (hello max!)

and i have a practice softball (a padded one that can be used without the mit) that i use in the same way. it's kind of embarrassing, actually... i've had it since i was 10 or so and learned how to catch. and it goes with me everywhere.
